Thank you for using Meritz. This Privacy Policy describes how Meritz ("we", "our", "the app") handles information when you use our iOS application.

TL;DR

Meritz does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not collect any personal information.

All data you enter into Meritz — including your income, expenses, debt, cash, investment values, asset classes, insurance coverage, financial goals, snapshots, and any name or nickname you choose — is stored exclusively on your device in a local file inside the app's sandbox.

Meritz does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting SDKs, advertising frameworks, or third-party tracking libraries.

1. NETWORK ACTIVITY

The app makes no network requests.

Meritz operates entirely offline. The only optional network interaction occurs if you choose to:

• Open our Privacy Policy link, which loads a webpage in an in-app Safari view. This network request is performed by your device's standard Safari component and is not initiated or logged by Meritz.
• Send Feedback & Suggestions, which opens your device's mail client. The email is sent by your mail provider (e.g., Apple Mail, Outlook), not by Meritz.

We have no access to either of these interactions.

1. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

Your data is stored as a single JSON file inside the iOS application sandbox associated with your installation of Meritz. This data:

• Is readable only by Meritz running on your device
• Is included in encrypted device backups if you have iCloud Backup or iTunes Backup enabled
• Is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app or tap "Reset All Data" inside the app
• Is never transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party
